Best Restaurants/ Cafes/ Street Food in Pondicherry

Any trip would be empty when our belly is empty 🤪 i know that was a bad joke😬. So to fill our belly we googled, checked blogs, checked vlogs and finally ended up eating at my selected list of restaurants. In Pondi I prefered to have French cuisine and some different varities. Also my 1st preference was Sea Food as you know Pondi is Ocean Side and no doubt you would get Fresh Shrimps Fresh Fish 

List Of Cafes, Restaurants and Street Food at Pondi: 

Bakers Street: This bakers is mentioned in every blog and vlog and I would remame it as Over hyped Street. Its a very small bakery with too much crowd. However their service was good. They sell crossaints, lasagna, babka, burgers pizzas, coffe etc etc. I liked the choco filled Crossaint and Babka

Approx 400 Rs for 2 people

Street Food:  

This Street is located at the end of beach,just google for "Asian House" pub and thats the street where you find these yummy Street Food and food trucks

1. Smoky Biscuits: Just like how dry ice provides smoke on adding water. This is something similar to that. You just get 2 biscuits of Oreo/ Bourbon/HidenSeek. Do not try waste of money

Any flavoured biscuits~ 50 Rs

2. Momo point | Snack point: I am not sure about the name, it's exactly opp to Smoky Biscuits. They serve the yummiest Chicken Sticks, Prawn Sticks, Fish Fingers, Egg Delight. Egg Delight is a must try. The best street food point

3. Home Town Grill Pondicherry:

They serve BBQ or Grilled food. In this street you can find multiple  "BBQ centres" and crowded too. I liked the Grilled Prawns

Coronandel Cafe: This is in one of the lanes in White Town. A classy exotic ambience and tasty sea food. Both Outdoor and Indoor seating is available. They serve Cocktails too.

All the dishes are priced over 300, costs ~ 1100 to 1500 for 2 people

Steamed Fish with mashed Potato(Dont remember the name)

Bread And Chocolate:  Just 2 dishes would fill your belly as they serve huge portion of any dish. This is one of the best places for Breakfast. They have a different menu compared to other restaurants. A must try place. 

Arpprox 800 Rs for 2 people

SummerTime Tartine - Poached Eggs(We have customised it with Sunny Side Egg) served with Crispy Breads cream Cheese and some greens

Chocolate Smoothie Bowl:  There are many other flavoured smoothies. This is a big bowl with any selected flavour, lots of dry fruits, dry coconut, nuts, chocolate. I have seen on Insta these type of smoothies are usually prefered by Celebrities in their regular diet, trust me if we receive such yummy Smoothie bowls on a daily basis even we would follow the same diet and be thin 😛. 

Diliwaala6( Veg Restaurant)and Bread & Chocolate are in the same building. We choose Bread & Chocolate cos we ♥️Non Veg. 

Darling Bakery: Yeah this name sounds weired however they serve verry good bakery items. This is no where near White town or Beach. While going to Aurville we passed by this bakery, on return we thought of buying some food as we have mid night cravings 😪😬🤪. We ordered Cinamon Rolls, Raisin Rolls, Walnut muffin and some other flavoured muffins. These rolls are big and can fill ur tummy and they are just yum. And all of these were priced between 50Rs to 100 Rs max. We thought of picking up the rolls before leaving to Hyderabad but our bad luck they weren't available. These rolls are available only at specific time i.e. after 5 in the Evening. I am already misisng these rolls make sure you do not miss these Rolls.

Blueline Reataurant:  We entered this restaurant assuming that its Bay Of Buddha restaurant. Bay of Buddha is on 1st floor and this is at Ground Floor 😪 This is located at Promande Beach near Gandhi Statue. It has an amazing ocean view and classy ambience. You can observe most of the foreign tourists at this restaurant cos their menu is different with not many Indian dishes. They serve cocktails too with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Approx 1500 to 2000 for 2 people

Buffalo Wild Wings

Bacon Tart Served with Veggies

Py Cafe: This is a pinky pinky bubbly cafe or insta worthy cafe.  I liked the concept of BYOB i.e. Build Your Own Burger just like Subway. 

Approx 650 Rs for 2 people

Most of the dishes are priced between 250Rs to 350 Rs

Tancos: On the way to Aurville this is one small cafe serving Italian Food. You hardly find good cafes or restaurants on Aurville Road.

Approx 900 to 1000 Rs for 2 people

Eat My Cake: I wanted to try pastries and cakes and this was our last place to visit in Pondi.A small cafe located at White Town. A good place for Photography, colourful place with outdoor and roof top seating. This cafe is exclusively run by women. They have good number of pastries however they are over priced for the small sized pastries.
